False Lashes

So here are some ideas on applying false lashes for those if you who think you can't do it!

It is very easy if you have a little patience and the right materials!

I prefer DUO surgical adhesive. Because it is a surgical glue, it dries tacky and allows your lashes to be more pliable and comfortable to wrear.

I also prefer MAC lashes because they are handmade and real hair, so you can wear them 6-10 times if you take proper care of them.

Many common problems come when you apply your false lashes and then try to do your makeup after. I always save lashes for very last...even after lips.

A liquid or gel liner helps to blend the false lashes into your natural lash line giving the eye a softer look. I like to use Lancome's artliner in black or iced carob. I like these because they are water proof and smudge proof and they have a felt tip pen applicator which makes it easy to use. I also like MAC fluid line, but since you have to wash the brush out every time you use it, I go for the artliner first every time.

After you line, apply your mascara....yes before you put on the false lashes! If you put mascara on top of your false lashes they will get all gooey and gross and you will have to throw them away after 1 or 2 wears. They are made to be re-used, so get your money's worth!

Line the inside of the false lash with DUO and allow it to set for 15-20 seconds. This lets the glue get tacky and allows for better application. If you apply the lash while the glue is freshly wet you run the risk of gluing your eye open or shut and gluing your own lashes to the false ones.

Look down into a mirror and hold the lashes either in the center or at the corner. Lightly drop the lashes directly on the lash line.

I like to go back after the lashes have dried and put a tiny dot of glue on the inner and outter corners to give them a little more sticking power!

And we're done...that wasn't so bad was it?
